Privacy & Ethics

1. The "No-Tracking" Promise
NetPayView was built on the principle that financial tools should not be creepy. I do not want your data, and I do not need it to provide accurate tax insights.
No Cookies: This site does not use traditional tracking cookies.
No User Accounts: You do not need to log in, and I never ask for your name, email, or social insurance number.
No Personal Data Storage: Any numbers you enter (income, deductions, etc.) are processed locally in your browser. They are never sent to a database or stored on a server.
2. Analytics
I use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic (e.g., "How many people visited today?").
This data is anonymous.
It does not track individual users across different websites.
It is used only to understand which features are most popular so I can prioritize updates.
3. Monetization Transparency
This is a single-person passion project. To keep the lights on and the engine updated without selling your data:
Sponsorships: I may occasionally feature a single, static sponsorship slot. These are not targeted ads based on your behavior.
Tips: The "Tip Jar" is a voluntary way for users to support the project directly.
Affiliates: If I ever link to a product (like a tax book), I will clearly disclose if it is an affiliate link.
4. Third-Party Links
The "Related Links" and "Sources" in the footer lead to external sites (like Canada tax pages). Once you leave NetPayView, their respective privacy policies apply.
